The Long Island Fear Fest Friday-Sunday starting
October 16, 2009 until Halloween night, October 31,
2009 7:00PM-12:00AM on Fridays and Saturdays and
Sundays 7:00PM-10:00PM in the Fair Exhibition
Building at Old Bethpage Village Fairgrounds, 1303
Round Swamp Road, Old Bethpage, NY 11804. Long
Island Fear Fest will also be open on Wednesday,
October 28 and Thursday, October 29, 2009
7:00PM-10:00PM. Long Island Fear Fest Threatens
Everyone Who Dares To Enter opening on October 16,
2009. In the heart of the historic Old Bethpage
Village Fairgrounds, one will discover one of the
most unique and frightening haunted house(s) that
the East Coast has to offer. This is not for the
faint of heart. There is nowhere to hide from the
true shock and terror that one will experience while
attending the Long Island Fear Festival. Designed
and created by Marty Arominski and John Loffredo,
two wild and scary guys who get their kicks by
causing chaos and panic, LIFF is housed in an
historic building which is horrifying from the
outside, before even entering.
This attraction spans 3 separate 1600+ square foot,
very haunted houses. Participants have the option to
enter 1, 2, or even all 3 houses (if they dare!)
where they will attempt to maneuver their way
through each of the houses' 12+ rooms while being
taunted and surprised by 35 or more of the scariest
actors any casting call has ever produced. Revelers
will battle their way though a sinister body bag
room, run for their lives in a terrifying
monster-themed room, scream for mercy in the
"trophy" room and pray for pity as they desperately
try to escape several haunting, bloody mazes. Don't
let the fireplaces, book cases or chandeliers fool
you! It might look warm and cozy, but expect to
spooked beyond your imagination, whenever you least
expect it! This year's Fear Fest effects include an
electric chair, chain saws bolts from out of the
blue and bombshells at every turn. In addition to
the unending special effects, one never knows when
one will encounter the ghost of a civil war solider
from Company "E" of the 14th Brooklyn Regiment, who
is still searching for his true resting place.
Zombies abound and creatures of the night lurk in
every passageway.
Pricing: 1 or 2 haunted houses $12.00 per
entry per house. All 3 haunted houses $25.00. Group
discounts are available for 15 or more at $20 per
person. R.I.P. Pass (VIP) $35.00 (no waiting on
line). Advance R.I.P. (VIP) $30.00 (plus $3.00 fee).
Online tickets can be purchased for $24 (plus $3
fee). Tickets purchased via the Internet will be
honored at the door as preferred guests. To purchase

Program Offered By Fitness Fusion 360. This program is an 8-week program. During
these 8 weeks, participants meet with a
Nutrition Manager Consultant three times -
one hour at the beginning of the program,
one hour during the program, and one hour at
the end of 12 weeks. Participants are asked
to keep a food log and an exercise log; they
learn how to analyze what they eat and

eat to achieve balance; they learn how to
budget their time and fit exercise into
their schedules; they learn ways to reduce
stress and why it is important to do so.
When participants have completed the 8

health. The program also includes three
individual consultations: The first
individual consultation is after the first
group meeting. This meeting concentrates on
individualizing the participants exercise

Listening to Jupiter: A Lecture and Live Demonstration on
Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 8:00PM at the Custer Institute
and Observatory, 1115 Main Bayview Road, P.O. Box 1204,
Southold, NY 11971. Learn how the giant planet Jupiter
beams mysterious signals from a distance of 365 million
miles away and hear it for yourself. After the accidental
discovery of radio bursts from Jupiter, scientists sought to
understand the radio emissions. They collected radio data,
compared it with other information about the planet, and
began to match Jupiter's radio bursts with the planet's
rotation. The observers realized that whether we hear
Jupiter or not depends a lot on what part of the planet is
facing us at the time. It seems there are special longitudes
where Jupiter is much more likely to be heard than others;
the longitudes are like "landmarks" on a planet with no
observable surface. In addition to the lecture on how the
giant planet Jupiter is beaming mysterious signals from a
distance of 365 million miles, there will be a "live"
demonstration so those present can hear Jupiter themselves!
Presenter: Ron Milione, Ph.D., is a Lead Engineer for
Goodrich Systems, an active HAM RADIO operator--W2TAP (Extra
Class), and an adjunct professor at Hunter Business School,
teaching computer science and active in the robotics
program. Suggested Donation: $10 Members, $13 Non-Members,
$5 Students. Cost: $10 Members; $13 Non-Members; $5
Students. For more information please call 631-765-2626 or

Champagne A Cappella Vocal Group Performance on Friday,
October 16, 2009 at 7:30PM at the La Casuccia Ristorante
(Fine Italian Dining), 196 Main Street, Farmingdale, NY.
Champagne a cappella group is located on Long Island. We
perform in various locations and focus mainly on the 50's
and 60's rhythm and blues musical genre (also known as
Oldies and Doo-Wop). We have been singing all of our lives
and have been a part of various musical and theatrical
professional and amateur productions. Our unique blend of
voices is created by four of us being family members and
Chuck, our band leader, whose voice fits right in. With his
expertise in creating original arrangements and his
excellent relative pitch, Chuck has the ability to bring out
the best sound that we can create. We are all brothers and
sisters (and our new honorary family member Chuck Arcuri)
and we have been singing all of our lives. Each of us has
been involved in music and musicals at some point in our
lives. Even though we have sung all forms of music, we have
come to appreciate the nuance and dynamics of oldies as a
result of Chucks very specialized insight into its
interpretation and his creative arrangements and technique.

Champagne A Cappella Vocal Group Performance on Friday,
October 30, 2009 at 8:00PM at the La Focaccia Restaurant
(Fine Italian Restaurant And Lounge) , 70 East Village
Green, Levittown, NY 11756. Champagne a cappella group
is located on Long Island. We perform in various locations
and focus mainly on the 50's and 60's rhythm and blues
musical genre (also known as Oldies and Doo-Wop). We have
been singing all of our lives and have been a part of
various musical and theatrical professional and amateur
productions. Our unique blend of voices is created by four
of us being family members and Chuck, our band leader, whose
voice fits right in. With his expertise in creating original
arrangements and his excellent relative pitch, Chuck has the
ability to bring out the best sound that we can create. We
are all brothers and sisters (and our new honorary family
member Chuck Arcuri) and we have been singing all of our
lives. Each of us has been involved in music and musicals at
some point in our lives. Even though we have sung all forms
of music, we have come to appreciate the nuance and dynamics
of oldies as a result of Chucks very specialized insight
into its interpretation and his creative arrangements and
technique. For more information and/or reservations please
