Pick your own raspberries. Open 7 days; 10:00AM-4:00PM
August-frost. All of our apple trees are grafted on
"size-controlling" rootstocks. In other words they're
"dwarfed" apple trees - fruiting begins about 18" from the
ground. A perfect size tree for small children. We grow
varieties that begin ripening late August (Jersey Mac,
Burgundy) and continue till mid-October (Granny Smith,
Fuji). All apples are "pick your own" from the orchard or
pick your own from our farm stand. Note: We are a small
orchard and occasionally do close temporarily when there is
no ripe fruit to pick. Class tours are available for
children in K to 2nd Grades. Call for scheduling details.
One crop that is not pick your own is our incredible honey
which is extracted from our hives and made available at our
farm stand. And what about our bees? They do all of our
pollinating; and, busy bees that they are, they supply us
with plenty of delicious honey. Some of our customers claim
that the honey they buy from us has been very effective in
easing their allergies. Member of the International Dwarf
Fruit Tree Association, the New York State Horticultural
Society, Cornell Cooperative and Long Island Farm Bureau. |
Fox Hollow Farm

South Huntington, NY 11746

www.foxhollowfarm.com
Fox Hollow Farm is a small family farm in South Huntington
offering seasonal pick your own items include strawberries
and pumpkins.
For many years it was a premier place to find a wide range
of ornamental perennials and specialized in growing
evergreens, daylilies and hosta.
We are delighted that we have now turned our agricultural
energies to growing vegetables and have established a CSA
which is now open to new members for the 2013 farm season.
A wide variety of fresh, locally grown vegetables and herbs
are available to our CSA members. Fox Hollow Farm vegetables
are grown with farming practices that go beyond those
required for Certified Organic farms and we have signed the
Northeast Organic Farming.
Association's Farmer's Pledge
The high quality of our produce has been known for years by
family, friends and neighbors who have enjoyed our fresh
locally grown vegetables that are hand-picked, hand-tended,
carefully cultivated and harvested. Now CSA members can
enjoy our vegetables too.
Fox Hollow Farm's 2013 Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
offering will take place for four months at the height of
the summer farming season (mid June to the first week of
October) and includes a generous assortment of 8-10
different farm grown, freshly picked vegetable items per
week. |
