	Long Island Braves Lacrosse - read more >> The goal of the Long Island Braves league is to take our players from 5th grade up to 12th grade and are looking to give them the proper coaching and exposure at certain tournaments that are run during the year. There are showcase tournaments that are geared for scouting and our goal is to get our players a proper chance to be recognize. There are over 100 scouts that come to these tournaments from Division I thru Division III schools. This is a better opportunity for the players to be looked out. Based on my years of experience with our coaching staff this is the way it is going. It has been proven that static’s shows on Long Island that all sports combined verses lacrosse 80% of scholarships come from lacrosse. Dedication from the players and the parents are very important. Our coaching staff and directors are taking this very seriously and need your commitment to be the same. Lacrosse on Long Island has a huge following, which plays an important role to many athletes. The derivation of our name, “Braves”, comes from the history of the game that the sport was created from, the American Indians. History shows that this is the 1st All American Sport in our country. We take deep pride in what the American Indians have created...what a great sport. Long Island has always been the main geographic area for the sport.
