In 1854 Cutchogue a local farmer and his wife - James and Frances Wickham - were found murdered in their home, butchered with on ax. Blame for the murder fell on one of their farm hands, Irish immigrant Nicholas Behan, who had been fired. The murder not only shocked and horrified the local community but also throughout the northeast of the US. Details were eventually forgotten. Come learn what really happened in Cutchogue in 1854!
