Long Island Potato Variety Show and Tell 2017 at Long Island Horticultural Research and Extension Center in Riverhead, Suffolk County, Lopng Island, New York.
Over 60 varieties and numbered lines trialed during the 2017 season will be on display for viewing from the Cornell, USDA, Maine, and Michigan Potato Breeding Programs. Yield and quality information will be provided. Grower input on which lines they like best is gathered and shared with breeders and can help influence future variety releases. Numbered lines and varieties that have performed well in our area will be highlighted during this informal gathering. This is also an opportunity for us to get together as a group and review the success and challenges of the 2017 growing season and identify any upcoming issues, concerns, and/or opportunities. Hope you can join us. It's being held in the back room in the main Bbuilding.
