A reference librarian at the Half Hollow Hills Community Library in Dix Hills, Edna Susman created the library’s Veterans Testimonial Project in 2014, to preserve the memories and experiences of our veterans. Since the inception of the project, over 115 veterans from every military branch and conflict since World War II have been interviewed and their stories recorded, so future generations will be able to learn of their dedicated service and sacrifices.
JGSLI was founded in 1985 to encourage and assist the pursuit of Jewish family history. Our goal is to bring together people interested in tracing their Jewish family roots.
