Paws For A Cause Dog Fashion Show and Adoption Event 2019 at YMCA Boulton Center For The Performing Arts in Bay Shore, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.
Up to 65 percent of domestic violence victims delay or can't escape their abusers because they are concerned about what will happen to their pets when they leave.
Long Island Against Domestic Violence works to reduce this statistic. We partner with local animal organizations and ensure that pets have a safe place to go when a victim of domestic violence enters our shelter or goes to stay with a family member or friend where a pet cannot be accommodated.
To date we have helped hundreds of pets to gain safety. TD Bank's Paws for a Cause will raise awareness and funds to support LIADV's life-saving services. Join us for a fun and fur-filled afternoon with performers, vendors and decked out pups as they strut their stuff on the runway.
Adoption meet and greet hosted by Islip Animal Shelter. Only dogs registered in fashion show permitted to attend. Please no pets with history of aggression or biting.
$30.00 dog fashion show registration per owner; $15.00 event admission per person.
Award categories: Best human/pet duo, best celebrity look-alike and best overall costume.
Long Island Against Domestic Violence
