National Coalition of 100 Black Women Long Island Chapter
The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Long Island Chapter on Long Island, New York is a non-profit organization, whose vision is the full participation of Black women in the mainstream of Long Island economy.
Our members include educators, doctors, nurses, senior managers, business owners, film makers, home owners and consumers whose passion about their community and the world has led them to act as change agents. Through our partnerships with local civic groups we inform and engage citizens around the issues of health, education and economic development at events like our U.S. Presidential Issues Forum. We enable African American women to achieve their dreams of a college education through our Biennial Scholarship awards.
We also recognize unsung local leaders with our "Shero Award" and honor the path breaking achievements of renowned African Americans with our highest award the "Trailblazer Award" at our Biennial Black and White Candlelight Ball. Special thanks to our Corporate Sponsors and Civic Partners whose investment of time and dollars enables us to continue our mission and expand the reach of our programs.
