The Long Island Crisis Center provides 24/7, free, confidential, non-judgmental programs to Long Islanders in need ensuring that every person seeking help is respected and responded to immediately. Volunteers exemplify the highest professional and ethical standards and selflessly dedicate their time, experience and compassion to literally saving lives each and every day, whether it be via telephone, Internet or out on the streets.
Everyone has the right to free and anonymous help at any time, no matter who they are or what their needs may be. Long Island Crisis Center provides the following services:
Crisis intervention, counseling, information, referral and other supportive services, primarily through a 24-hour a day, seven-day-a-week telephone crisis hotline and live, online counseling.
