This workshop, led by Mark Alpert, New York Legal Assistance Group financial counselor, provides a general overview of the options that students and their parents face when it comes time to repay student debt. Topics to be covered include: understanding the different types of student debt, repayment options on Federal loans, cancellation and forebearance, consequence of default and where to find more help.
