American Heroes - A Salute To Veterans
The Northwinds Symphonic Band, under the direction of Helen P. Bauer, will open its Sixth Concert Season with a special performance at the North Shore High School Theater in Glen Head on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at 3:00PM. The theme of the concert, American heroes, pays tribute to the men and women of our armed forces. Selections will include patriotic standards and music written to honor the military, as well a beautiful new arrangement of the music from Camelot and the finale from the New World Symphony by Dvorak. Also on the program will be a vocal feature and a short choral anthem in remembrance of america's fallen heroes. glen cove resident robert staade will display his extensive collection of military memorabilia dating from wwii to the present. |
