Description: |
Lynch Ballet Company (a non-profit organization) stages its Second Annual Showcase Performance of Dancers. Performances take place on Saturday, October 12, 2013 cat 5:00PM at Huntington High School Auditorium.
60 students from Lynch School of Ballet, ages 9 to 17, will each perform a solo to be evaluated by ballet professionals. Each dancer will receive a written evaluation from the judges, giving them personal feedback on their technique and performance quality. It will give them things in their dancing they can work on improving over the next year said Karen Lynch, Artistic Director of Lynch School of Ballet.
The solo performances will be followed by a Gala Performance featuring Lynch Ballet Company members from Ballet V and VI performing a new work by choreographer Emery LeCrone. Ballet IIB & Ballet III are performing the Mazurka, and Ballet IV is performing Princesses, both from Swan Lake. "The dancers have all worked very hard and I am extremely proud of each of them" Ms. Lynch said.
The showcase evaluators will be Veronica Lynn, former soloist with American Ballet Theatre and Melissa Thomas, former dancer with American Ballet Theatre.
