Theatre Three presents proudly presents The Sixteenth Annual Festival of One-Act Plays, from March 3 through April 6, 2014, at The Ronald F. Peierls Theatre, on the Second Stage. Selected from over 650 submissions world-wide, these six cutting-edge premieres are guaranteed to entertain and engage. Collateral Damage, by George J. Bryjak, examines the impact of war as a young soldier returns from Afghanistan. Rod McFadden's Man's Best Friend is a poignant look at family dynamics in the face of change. Birth, life, and death are highlighted in Mark Cornell's One Life. The Shrine, by Michael Edan, explores the aftermath of a school shooting. Jon Spano's Ripple Effect is a bitter-sweet look at letting go. The war between art and finance is hilariously skewered in Joan Broadman's Theater in the Red.The company features returning one-act performers Danny Amy, Odell Cureton, Tammy Dorsa, Phyllis March, Linda May, Steve McCoy, Maryellen Molfetta, James Schultz, and Brian Smith (in his eleventh festival) joined by newcomers Jennifer Gillen-Goldstein and Dylan Whelan. Marking his fifteenth festival, the evening is directed by Executive Artistic Director Jeffrey Sanzel.
