Join ACA Certified Kayak Instructors for a thorough introduction to kayaking. Learn all about safety and paddling techniques. This program will be weather dependent. Pack a picnic and enjoy lunch al fresco at end of the program. A program for adults and teens ages 16 and older. Reservations and payment required in advance.
About Quogue Wildlife Refuge
Quogue Wildlife Refuge is a non-profit orgnaization dedicated to nature preservation and environmental education. The nature trails are open to the public from sunrise to sunset, free of charge, 365 days a year. The Nature Center is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays-Sundays 11:00AM-4:00PM.
Quogue Wildlife Refuge is a 305-acre nature preserve nestled in the Village of Quogue. There are seven miles of nature trails located among a variety of habitats, including the Pine Barrens and deciduous forests, freshwater ponds, carnivorous and cranberry bogs, and the ecologically rare Dwarf Pines. The Refuge also serves as home to permanently injured, non-releasable wildlife, including a bald eagle, red fox, bobcat, owls, falcons and hawks. |
