Description: |
The 10K Run has beautiful vistas along the Atlantic Ocean, Shinnecock Inlet, Shinnecock Bay and breathtaking views over the Ponquogue Bridge. The race starts at Warner's Park goes east along Dune Road loop around at Shinnecock Inlet, west along Dune Road, north over Ponquogue Bridge, north on Light House Road, north on Foster Avenue, west on Shinnecock Road, north on Ponquogue Avenue and ends at ball field behind Hampton Bays Middle School.
You must register at the Hampton Bays Middle School on Ponquogue Avenue 7:00AM-8:30AM so you can be bused to the starting area at Warner's Park on the south side of the Ponquogue Bridge. No vehicular traffic allowed at Warner's Park. Drop off and parking available at Ponquogue Beach.
This is a rain or shine event. No refunds, exchanges, or transfers. No roller blades, headphones, and animals are prohibited from participating in this race.
Awards to top male and female runners and top 3 in each category male and female: 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Race includes T-shirt, (while supplies last) post race food, refreshments and water stop. |
