Description: |
14th Annual Jamesport Fire Department Long Island Sound to Great Peconic Bay 5K and 10K Run. Registration 7:00AM-8:30AM at the Jamesport Town Beach Road and Peconic Bay Boulevard. Buses will be provided to starting areas. Runner Category Awards: Male and female runners 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+. Special category for Fire Department and Peace/Police Officers. Race entry: T-shirt, post-race raffle, food and refreshments, music by "Just The 2 of Us" and medical aid.
10K Course: Beautiful point to point race from Iron Pier Beach on Long Island Sound in Jamesport to the Jamesport Beach on Great Peconic Bay. Conquering a hill in the first half mile, you then ease into a scenic gently winding course through the historic hamlet of South Jamesport passing farms, vineyards, horse corrals, orchards, and nurseries along the way to the Jamesport Beach on Great Peconic Bay.USATF Certified Course # NY03042AM)
5K Course: Begins at the Jamesport Firehouse on Manor Lane and winds through the beautiful and historic hamlet of South Jamesport on the way to the Jamesport Beach on the Great Peconic Bay. |
