The Best of Intentions: Establishing S Daily Meditation Practice - Half-Day Workshop with Holly McGregor - at Dipamkara Meditation Center in Huntington, Long Island, New York.
There is so much scientific evidence these days showing the positive results of meditation: better health, faster healing, improved clarity and effectiveness, more positive outlook, more harmonious relationships. Even without these studies, we can discover the benefits quickly through our own experience. We can also discover, as Buddha did, that meditation can be a path to deep inner peace and complete freedom.
In this workshop, we will be introduced to 3 types of meditation: breathing, clarity of the mind, and the stages of the path. We will explore some of the obstacles we encounter in setting up and sustaining a daily practice, and we will learn ways to dissolve these obstacles so we can practice confidently. There will be plenty of time for questions and by the end of the workshop, each person will have the tools and support to begin a daily practice.
Now is the time to begin. This is one of the best things we can do for ourselves and for this world.
