The National Week of Prayer for the Healing of AIDS is an annual HIV awareness campaign that mobilizes faith communities; and highlights the contributions and impact congregations are making in areas of HIV prevention, testing, direct service, advocacy and community engagement.
The National Week of Prayer for the Healing of AIDS, now in its 24th year, is a gathering of faith communities of every religion, people, neighborhoods, streets and families March 3-9 2013, to not only end the AIDS epidemic, but to bring awareness and compassion to those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
Vision
A vision of unity and faith from The Balm In Gilead. Every Church, Mosque, Synagogue, Temple and Home is invited to join in prayer, education, advocacy and service for the healing of AIDS in the United States and the World.
Mission
Through the power of God's love we will educate every American about HIV prevention facts; encourage and support HIV testing; advocate for the availability of compassionate care and treatment for all those living with the disease in every community in America; and love unconditionally all persons living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
