Treasures of the Forest - Story, Walk,Crafts at Tiffany Creek Preserve and Oyster Bay Library.
Today we will wander through the woods at Tiffany Creek Preserve in Oyster Bay Cove, seeing what we shall see. Each child will receive a treasure bag and will be encouraged to pick up leaves, sticks, etc. After the walk, we will caravan over to the Oyster Bay Library down the road, and gather round to make collages out of the treasures we have collected in the woods. While the glue is drying, we will read aloud from a book about wildlife of the woods.
Group size limited to 15. For ages six and up. No unregistered siblings please. Call 516-695-0763 to register.
Directions: Northern Boulevard (25-A) to Berry Hill Road, heading North into Oyster Bay. When Berry Hill bears to the left, continue straight on Sandy Hill Road. Tiffany Creek Preserve entrance will be on left. If coming from Cove Road in Oyster Bay, turn onto Sandy Hill Road and take towards Berry Hill Road and Syosset. Before you get to where Sandy Hill runs into Berry Hill, Tiffany Creek entrance will be on right. Follow preserve road into parking lot where we will meet. |
