The talented students of Five Towns College perform a musical revue of some of the world’s most popular love songs from the Broadway stage of Maury Yeston and the great hits of Ervin Drake. Maury Yeston is a composer, lyricist, educator and musicologist, known for writing the music and lyrics to Broadway musicals including Nine and Titanic which won Tony Award for best musical and best score. Yeston also wrote a significant amount of the music and most of the lyrics to the Tony-nominated musical Grand Hotel, nominated for best score. His musical version of the novel The Phantom of the Opera called Phantom preceded the Andrew Lloyd Webber's version. Ervin Drake may be best known for his songs "I Believe", "It Was A Very Good Year", "Perdido", "Tico-Tico", "Good Morning Heartache", "Al Di La", "Quando Quando Quando" and "A Room Without Windows” recorded by renowned artists Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Andy Williams, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Diana Ross and many more extraordinary performers and for writing the music and lyrics for the Broadway show What Makes Sammy Run.
