Long Island Flute Club Competition Winners Recital at the Half Hollow Hills Community Library in Dix Hills, Long Island, New York.
A member club of the National Flute Association, the Long Island Flute Club was founded in 1984 to enrich the musical lives of flutists in the greater New York area. Serving professional and student flutists, the club offers a diverse calendar of events each season. The acclaimed Long Island Flute Club concert series has become an integral part of the Long Island parts scene, attracting an audience of flutists and the general public.
The diverse programs for students offer the opportunity for both musical growth and community involvement. Our Flute Festival, currently in its 19th year, provides an enjoyable day of performing masterclasses and workshops for all levels of players. The annual LIFC Holiday Flute Ensemble Concert benefits a selected charity and is always well-received by the holiday audiences. The LIFC Professional Flute Choir and Student Honors Flute Choir perform in the first recital each season. |
