Join us for two startlingly different chamber works in this evening's Starry Nights program.
From quintessential romantic composer Robert Schumann comes one of the most definitive romantic piano trios ever written.
From the mystical composer Olivier Messiaen comes one of his first works after being released as a prisoner of war—and his first collaboration with his future wife, pianist Yvonne Loriod. Visions de l'Amen is a work that contains dissonance, chant-like hymns, rhythmic difficulties, charm and sensuality.
