Rorie Kelly Records Her First Live Album live in the Lobby at the Patchogue Theatre for Performing Arts.
Rorie Kelly burst on the Patchogue music scene in July 2007 with a 2-song performance at "The Concert for The Lobby" that blew us all away. Since then, she has appeared a number of times in the lobby and on the main stage, so we were delighted when she asked us if she could record her first live album in the lobby. Ms. Kelly has been described as " a small redheaded tornado of sound." She cultivates a persona that is one part adorable and two parts badass rock-and-roll. First-time listeners often comment "I can't believe that voice came out of that body". Rorie writes catchy, melodic rock songs that she plays with enough passion to break guitar strings regularly and goes right on playing without batting an eye. She released her first album, Once Upon a Bottlecap in 2010, and a new single, Fall to Feel It available is now available on iTunes. She is working on a new studio album and in the mean time will be with us again at Patchogue Theatre for Performing Arts to record a live album. |
