Paula Atherton, Singer/Songwriter/Woodwind Player: Paula Atherton has performed with an array of artists including the legendary jazz pianist Hank Jones for a week’s engagement at the Blue Note, NYC, and Michael Bolton, (Today show, Good Morning America, Rachael Ray). Paula has also shared the stage with such notable musicians as Chuck Loeb, Johnny Pacheco, John Hicks, George Benson, Patti Austin and Tito Puente. She also performed at 2 engagements for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
Paula's 1st CD, entitled, "Let Me Inside Your Love", debuted on the national contemporary jazz charts in 2004. In 2006, a cut from that CD, "I Long For Your Love" was released by Warner Europe, on a popular compilation called, "Ladies of Jazz". Also featured are Natalie Cole, Candy Dulfer, and Eliane Elias.
Paula's sophomore CD, "Groove with Me", was released in 2009. It charted on the contemporary jazz charts, as well as on the FMQB a/c chart ("Send Down an Angel", #9 with 899 spins). Guests include Chieli Minucci, Greg Adams, Onaje Allan Gumbs, and Bill Heller.
Paula's upcoming CD will include special guests Nick Colionne and Cindy Bradley. Paula will be playing Berks jazz fest on March 23 (with Jazz in Pink). |
