Bryan Campbell: Bryan Campbell began studying music formally in high school,availing himself to many musical situations . Playing in pit orchestras,various county Jazz bands, attending summer Jazz camps and learning marimba in orchestra. In 2004, he moved back to New York City to attend the New School of Jazz and Contemporary Music and completed his BFA in Jazz performance in the spring of 2007. He has had the privilege to study privately with Ben Street, Jonathan Kreisberg,Vic Juris,Chris Cheek, Steve Cardenas, and Lage Lund, all who shaped his musical direction and ideas. Bryan has performed at the Bistro, Old Field Vineyard, Bay Street Theater,Sweet Rhythm, and Wolfer Estates. He has played trio with bassist Billy Johnson and percussonist Mark Johnson and has also has had the honor and pleasure of performing with Legendary Vibraphonist Teddy Charles, Gil Goldstein,Randy Brecker, Ada Rovatti, Hector Martignon, Alex Spiagin and Morris Goldberg . He is currently pursuing his masters degree at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College and is studying privately with Paul Bollenback. He continues to learn, teach and grow as a musician. |
