He is the guitarist and principal arranger on Freddy Cole Sings Mr. B, a 2010 Grammy-nominated release from High Note, as well as on Cole's 2011 album, Talk to Me.
As a sideman, Napoleon has appeared on television all over the world, with U.S. appearances that include Letterman, Leno, The View, Today, Regis and Kelly, Ellen DeGeneres, a PBS special, The Radio Music Awards, and Dancing with the Stars. He has played with other major jazz artists, including the Bill Charlap Trio, Natalie Cole, and top cabaret performers Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano. In addition to backing the best, he has recorded and performed with his own bands, a trio, a quartet, and three-horn sextet, with whom he did his latest album, The Jukebox Crowd.
