Matt Marshak: Guitarist Matt Marshak brings together a unique and refreshing blend of jazz, urban groove, funk, blues, soul, and world rhythms. He was voted best New Artist in New York by CD101.9, and has since shared the festival stages across the globe with many of today's contemporary jazz icons. His recent stops have included the Berks Jazz Fest, Seabreeze Jazz Fest, Slovakia's Bratislava Jazz Days, Rehoboth Jazz Festival, Seattle's Jazz Alley. His recent album Family Funktion had a Top 50 charting song with "How Ya Like Me Now."
While not performing with his jazz group, Matt visits hundreds
of schools per year introducing kids of all ages to music and its magic. He is a big believer in exposing kids to real instruments, all styles of music, and especially letting them know all about jazz and the blues. |
