Advance registration recommended. Join photographer Neil Scholl and travel back in time as he talks about the digitization and restoration of Hal B. Fullerton's historic and artistic photographic documentation of Long Island life in the early years of the 20th century. As a special agent and agriculturalist for the Long Island Rail Road, Fullerton's photographs were reproduced in promotional materials that encouraged tourism and farming on the Island. His photographs capture the picturesque, agrarian charm of the Island.
Events for June 12, 2013 Senior Second Wedensday on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 1:20PM-4:00PM Docent-led Tour of Car Culture exhibition Educational Program, 1:30PM-3:00PM. Enjoy a docent-led tour of the exhibition Car Culture: Art and the Automobile at 1:45PM. Learn more about the Car Culture exhibition. On the second Wednesday of every month seniors (62+) are invited to visit The Heckscher Museum after 1:30PM admission free, with a program beginning at 1:45PM. Join us for a musical performance, sketching in the gallery, docent tour, or art activity. Following the scheduled program, seniors can explore the exhibitions. Groups and individuals are welcome.
