Description: |
Meet author and biologist Bill Schutt, when he visits the Nature Center to give a fascinating talk all about bats. Bill Schutt is the author of the critically acclaimed "Dark Banquet: Blood and the Curious Lives of Blood-Feeding Creatures" which was featured on NPR's Science Fridays and in The New York Times. Radio Show Host Alice Cooper has also read segments of Dark Banquet during his syndicated radio show, Nights with Alice Cooper. He currently serves on the board of directors of The North American Society for Bat Research.
Bill has received a PhD in zoology from Cornell, is currently a Professor of Biology at LIU Post, and is Research Associate in the Department of Mammalogy at the American Museum of Natural History.
