Learn all about bats, including their anatomy and amazing physical adaptations, the various lifestyles of bats from all over the world including Long Island and their ecological importance to the planet. This program will include a power point presentation, taxidermy bats, a bat skeleton, a bat fossil replica, and a surprise visit from a nocturnal predator.
Learn about the conflicts bats are facing, why the United Nations declared 2011-2012 International Year of the Bat, and how you can help. All ages family event. For more information visit www.batcon.org
The Quogue Library offers a collection of materials including fiction, nonfiction, reference materials, audio books and much more. It runs a wide range of activities and programs as well, including an art gallery showcasing local artists, book clubs, walking clubs, board game clubs and more.
