Vegetable Canning and Intro to Food Preservation at Home at Hallockville Musem Farm in Riverhead, Long Island, New York.
The first in a series of four educational classes, Mark Vosburgh will present an informative and interactive program on the basics of home canning. Beginning with a brief overview of food preservation, Mark will discuss both water bath and pressure canning methods. Experienced canners and newcomers alike will benefit from his easy to follow methods. Mark is a New York State Cornell Cooperative Extension Certified Master Food Preserver. In addition, having won "Best in Show" awards in many agricultural fairs in the Northeast, he will also share insights into competitive canning and judging. |
