Suffolk Gem and Mineral Club is hosting our 40th annual Holiday Gem Show. Come and bring the kids. They will love to pick their own geode and watch while it's cracked right in front of them! In addition to the vast variety of vendors, you can see demonstrations and a video presentation on Herkimer Diamond Mining. You can also grab a bite at the snack bar (to benefit the Boy Scouts) and with your paid admission, you will be automatically entered to win an hourly door prize and the Show Prize. Suffolk Gem and Mineral Club
The purpose of the Suffolk Gem and Mineral Club is to promote cultural, educational, and scientific interest in mineralogy, and to develop members' skills in lapidary arts and jewelry crafts.
The Suffolk Gem and Mineral Club was formed in 1978 and incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation in New York State in October, 1979. The founders consisted of hobbyists and rockhounds, representing all walks of life.
The Suffolk Gem and Mineral Club is a member of the Eastern Federation and American Mineralogical and Lapidary Societies, Inc. whose tremendous resources are available for our use. Through them the Club has access to tapes and books. They keep us informed on the latest news and upcoming events. |
