11th Annual Biker Holiday Toy Ride For Hospitalized Children at the Sagamore Childrens Psychiatric Center in Dix Hills, New York.
The Huntington, Long Island based Long Island Harley Riders (group name change since 2011) will be holding their 11th Annual Holiday Toy Ride For The Children at the Sagamore Children's Psychiatric Center in Dix Hills, New York.
The motorcycle ride, which will be led by Santa, will leave from the Nathan Hale Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall at 210 West Pulaski Road, Huntington, NY on Sunday, November 25, 2012 11:15AM-11:30AM (rain/snow date December 2,2012 at 11:30AM) and proceed to the Sagamore Children's Psychiatric Center at 197 Half Hollow Road, Dix Hills, NY (appox. 4 miles away). Members of group will be riding their motorcycles and bringing many holiday gifts for the children. the chapter is also collecting new clothing and toys which can be deposited in a holiday box at ron starke's thunder bikes located at 74 Jayne Boulevard, Port Jefferson Station, NY (1-631-509-6294) prior to event. The public and biker community are invited to deposit new unwrapped toys and clothing for boys and girls 9-16 years of age. A good turnout of riders is expected. Note: Legal privacy issues - no interviews, video or photographs will be permitted of the children, however Santa, hospital staff and motorcyclist will be available. |
