As you walk down the darkened path to the Old Bethpage Village Restoration you can't help but feel the chills and thrills that await. You are entering the very demented world of Mr. Slim Chance II and his carnival of the damned. Off in the distance are the swirling lights and sounds of carnival thrill rides from another era. the smell of musty cotton candy looms in the air. you and your group suddenly find yourselves entering the chamber of horrors' haunted house. featuring a crazy collection of prized possessions of the mad man Slim Chance II and his family of freaks. This is not for the weak of heart. Should you survive this tour of terror you will find yourself transported to the chance family amusements' monster midway. Classic thrill rides challenge one and all to experience the Carny's idea of a good time.
After putting your stomach back down your throat you'll want to board the haunted hayride, a trip back in time. this full-blown tractor and wagon journey takes groups of fearless mortals through an array of "out of this world" experiences you will not soon forget. this is the largest and scariest hayride on long island. as if waking up from a nightmare, as you attempt to shake off the horrors you just encountered, you find yourself back on the monster midway to challenge the monster maze. those brave souls who make it through the maze in the allotted time win a prize. the best maze time will take home the grand prize.
"CARNEVIL the stuff nightmares are made of" also features dunk the dead guy, the crypt Halloween store, games of chance, and many other frightful surprises. we invite you and your guests to spend an evening with us. but beware, it just may become an eternity.
The Chamber Of Horrors Haunted House
Located in Long Island, NY exists a "deadly" museum. An exhibition of all things gruesome! For centuries, owned and operated by the chance family of carnival operators. Under the direction of Mister Slim Chance II, his two sons (Ferris, Fatty) and one daughter (Miss Daysi Chance) have developed the area's most successful midway and games dynasty, "one could say they have a monopoly on fun, their style!"
Long Island residents love nothing more than a good old fashion carnival. The smell of popcorn and cotton candy, the flashing lights of the midway rides as they spin in the night skies. The haunting sound of a demented calliope looms off in the distance. At the one end of the Midway, also known as The Field of Screams is a huge ominous building that houses Slim Chance's collection of the macabre. His personal Chamber of Horrors. Although he encourages visitors, often they become residents. This interactive tour is the stuff nightmares are made of. Included with any visit to the Chance Chamber of Horrors Haunted House, one can expect to experience the following
Some sample scenes include the elevators, coffins and caskets, spider pit, the vortex, the family organ, mad scientist, the family morgue, the holding cells, cremation chamber, the haunted library, dead clown alley, exorcist guest room, and many others.
At the Chamber of Horrors Haunted House, you will encounter a crew of Crazed Carnies and Madmen. Of course some of the freakiest Chance family relatives and bizarre zombies along with the recently deceased will greet you accordingly. The Chamber of Horrors features a death-defying tour into the world of the beyond. The tour takes approximately 25 minutes to complete. Along the tour, our mortal guests will experience special effects designed and placed by top special f/x artists and technicians. Animated displays are enhanced by "live" actors that complete the horror-filled experience.
Due to the success of our Haunted attractions, long queue lines can be found in front of the attraction on a nightly basis. For these lines, we present shows ranging from real, live burials to hangings. National celebrities are brought in to make appearances. In addition, area radio/television broadcasting on-air personalities will be featured throughout the promotion. Live remote broadcasts will excite listeners to what's happening on-site.
The Monster Midway "Field of Screams"
There has always been something dark and scary about a Carnival. From the rides designed to challenge one's sanity to the characters that operate them, the midway is a place full of screams. This year at CARNEVIL foolish mortals will experience the darker side of fun. Featured will be three (major) rides such as The Round-up, The Spider Ride, and The Zipper. For the weaker hearts, two (minor) rides will be on hand such as a Ferris Wheel and Giant Slide of Death. The midway will also have some games of chance and themed refreshments.
One of the sideshow features of the midway is the "Dunk The Dead Guy" concession designed after the old dunk tanks. The "Mad Monster Shoot" is also located on the midway.
If you have ever watched the movie Carny starring Gary Busey and Jodie Foster, or read Ray Bradbury's "Something Wicked this Way Comes" you should have a pretty good idea of what awaits on "Field Of Screams".
The Monster Midway is located in the center field between the Chamber Of Horrors Haunted House and The Haunted Hayride. (Rides and concession games subject to change). |
