Description: |
3rd Annual Gold Coast International Film Festival on Long Island's North Shore - Long Island's Premiere Annual Event for Movie Lovers with Exclusive Film Screenings.
The glitz, glamour, romance and excitement of Long Island's Gold Coast returns for seven days in October at the 3rd annual Gold Coast International Film Festival.
Once the playground of Wall Street tsars, Hollywood titans and legends of the silver screen, Long Island's Gold Coast is now home to a world-class film festival that provides the public a rare and up-close look at the workings of the film industry.
Festival events include exclusive screenings, workshops, panels, conversations with prominent members of the film community, parties, after parties and galas, to be hosted in the charming and historic Gold Coast towns and villages of Great Neck, Port Washington, Roslyn and Manhasset.
Festival venues include many of the region's most fabled Gold Coast estates including the former Chrysler Mansion (now the United States Merchant Marine Academy), NYIT's deSeversky Mansion (former duPont estate) and Oheka Castle, commissioned by Otto Kahn.
In the tradition of Hollywood, we are sworn to secrecy about many of the films we'll be premiering and the celebrities who will be attending.
Located in the Town of North Hempstead, the Gold Coast International Film Festival was founded with the purpose of establishing a home on Long Island to showcase the work of exceptional filmmakers and provide the public with an insider’s view of the film industry. Festival events include screenings, workshops, conversations with prominent members of the film community, parties and a gala.
During the seven-day festival, area residents, visitors, members of the business and film communities, public officials, students and academics come together to celebrate the art and influence of cinema in the charming and historic towns and villages of Long Island’s Gold Coast.
The Gold Coast International Film Festival is produced by the Great Neck Arts Center, a 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in 1993 and dedicated to promoting and supporting the arts through education, exhibition, performance and outreach. |
