Film: Paddle To The Sea at Garvies Point Museum and Preserve in Glen Cove, Long Island, New York. Two screenings at 11:00AM, at 1:00PM and at 2:00PM.
During the dark of the Canadian winter, in the Nipigon country north of the Great Lakes, a young Native American boy carves the figure of an Indian in a canoe and names him Paddle-to-the-Sea. He sets him on a melting snow bank, which the spring sun soon turned into a tumbling mountain stream. Paddle-to-the-Sea sets out on a journey taking him hundreds of miles from his birthplace. Buffeted by many winds and currents and helped on his way by human hands, he at last, reaches the Atlantic and earned the right to be called a true Paddle-to-the-Sea. 27 minutes.
