Description: |
Actress Isabella Rossellini will be introducing her new film, "Late Bloomers." Ms. Rossellini and William Hurt star as Mary and Adam, a long married couple living in London. When their last child leaves the house, the couple is left with the unnerving reality of enduring each other’s company as they cope with the stresses and strains—physical and emotional—of growing older. Mary’s anxiety deepens when she experiences a moment of memory loss, and she begins to accept the inevitability of her increasing age and ailments. Adam, an architect, embraces the company and lifestyle of his younger staff, donning hoodies and chasing pizza with Red Bull as they work to develop a state-of-the-art nursing home facility. Their diverging transformations cause a rift in their seasoned relationship, and one of the many joys of “Late Bloomers” is the realization that lovers—and love—are always ripe for change in surprising and unexpected ways.
