Giving shoppers up-close seats to live runway shows and immediate access to the hottest, newest fall fashions and must-haves. Up-to-the-minute fall fashions and trends will light up the runway at Roosevelt Field during Simon Fashion Now presented by Winthrop-University Hospital Breast Health Center, a series of energetic fashion shows and interactive entertainment. The event is the only NY stop of a national tour this fall designed and presented by Simon Property Group, Inc. (NYSE:SPG), a leading global retail real estate company. All events are free and open to the public.
Simon Fashion Now begins on Friday, October 11, 2013 with Design Wars, Roosevelt Field's take on runway reality featuring designs by Nassau Community College students. The event continues with Trends and Friends Night, an evening of fashion, sampling and prizes. Attendees will be front-and-center during two runway fashion shows featuring the hottest fall looks available immediately from Roosevelt Field retailers. Day two of Simon Fashion Now will present a vibrant mix of accessible, luxurious and affordable style for men and women with runway fashion shows, interactive stage events, in-store promotions, specials at participating retailers and multiple chances to win fabulous prizes in the Runway Giveaway. Fundraising events throughout Simon Fashion Now will benefit the Long Island Arts Alliance.
Simon Fashion Now at Roosevelt Field will also include a trunk show with Same Sky, a fair-trade initiative that offers employment to women living with HIV/AIDS in Sub Saharan Africa. SAME SKY women hand-crochet and sell beautiful glass bead jewelry, with 100 percent of all net-proceeds directly affecting the lives of Rwanda genocide survivors. |
