The Apple Festival is held in the fall and celebrates preparations for winter including scarecrow making, pumpkin painting and apple products as well as music, dancing, games, crafts and, for those who dare, a scary Boo Barn.
The leaves are falling and the crops are being taken in. Apples are dropping from the trees and the Society is celebrating. Come join in the festival. Bring your children to play traditional games, try old-time crafts and dance to the tunes of traditional music.
Huntington Historical Society's annual Apple Festival is a fantastic autumn event. Enjoy traditional demonstrations such as butter churning and candle dipping as our costumed interpreters
"prepare" for winter.
Play old fashioned games, crunch on delicious apples and dance to fantastic live music. Children will create their own seasonal crafts and make their own genuine life sized scarecrows, while everyone enjoy lots of delicious harvest foods such as candy apples and pies.
The Kissam house property is central to many of the Huntington Historical Society's Outreach and Education activities. |
