52nd Annual Long Island Scottish Festival and Highland Games at the Old Westbury Gardens.
By popular demand, for the first time, the Long Island Scottish festival will be held on two days, August 25-26, 2012. Both days will feature concerts, bagpipes, vendors selling Scottish fabrics, gifts, foods, and music, British autos, step dancing, dog agility demonstrations, and kids' programs. The Highland Games, including the caber toss will take place on Saturday, August 25. Events on Sunday, August 26 will include Scottish Regiment battle re-enactments.

Activities: Face painting, temporary tattoos, interactive storytelling, pony rides, petting zoo. Educational activities: Wool spinning, bagpipe instruction, highland dance lessons. Entertainment: walkabout characters, pirate shows and demonstrations. Heritage presentations: Scottish regiment encampments and battle re-enactments, Scottish heritage tent, various Scottish clan tents, presentation "Celtic Legends". Various food and craft vendors, dog agility demonstrations.
The Long Island Scottish Clan Macduff 81 LTD is a not-for-profit organization, with roots in the former Order of Scottish Clans, that seeks to keep alive Scottish traditions on Long Island, NY. In addition to our annual Scottish games, we are involved in a variety of other events throughout the year, including a Robert Burns Supper in the spring, New York City Tartan Day Festivities in April, and a Kirkin' of the Tartans Service in November.
