Description: |
The Southampton Arts festival is an international music festival featuring today's leading musicians and promising young students. It is the festival's goal to combine world-class performances with an extensive learning program, creating an environment ideal for sharing ideas and talents. The festival will offer a two-week program, including private and chamber music lessons, supervised practice time, chamber music concerts, as well as master classes and performances by distinguished faculty and guest artists. The Festival had a successful inaugural season in 2010.
Students will have an opportunity to perform in student concerts and participate in open-to-the-public master classes. The program will take place in Southampton, one of the most breathtaking places on the Atlantic shore. Students will have the opportunity to balance an intensive practice and learning schedule with the Hamptons' rich cultural life, while enjoying its famous beaches and seacoast. |
