Description: |
Bideawee invites children grades K-8th to create artwork that demonstrates their love for animals. Through the power of art, children are encouraged to express their love for their pets, animals in need of love or animals that have positively impacted their lives. Art entries can represent any medium (drawings, photos, paintings, sculpture, finger painting, etc.).
The first 300 entries will be displayed at the "Love Your Pet Art Expo" in the Bideawee Learning Center in Westhampton. Winners will be selected by the attendees and prizes will be awarded in the following age groups: Kindergarten - 1st grade, 2nd and 3rd grade, 4th and 5th grade, and 6th - 8th grade. There is a $5.00 entrance fee to Expo as a donation to help Bideawee continue to care for the many homeless pets residing in its shelters.
Winning artwork will be featured in the Bideawee's monthly e-newsletter. All grade groups will receive a Bideawee gift bag with great prizes from supporting organizations such as Splish Splash, Tanger Outlets and Dave & Busters. Please encourage your students to vote for their artwork or their peer's artwork on February 11, 2012. Winners will be entered in a special Facebook contest to win an exclusive tour and lunch at Bideawee for your entire class.
Submit artwork to the Bideawee Adoption Center, 118 Old Country Road, Westhampton, NY 11977 between 10:00AM-5:00PM, seven days a week no later than February 5, 2012. All artwork must have completed Submission Form. |
