AHRC Nassau and the Center for Children, Families and the Law at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University are partnering to support economically disadvantaged families, considering guardianship appointments for their children with developmental disabilities or delays. Join us on January 17, 2017 and connect with experts who can answer your questions and determine if you qualify for legal support from Hofstra law students and supervising attorneys. Eligibility for free guardianship legal services will be based on a household income of less than $50,000 or an extraordinary life event.

Our mission is to teach, support and advocate for children and adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities to make life choices, exercise independence and develop responsibility. It is through our collective voice that we influence our elected officials who decide how much will be spent on programs for children and adults in Association for the Help of Retarded Children Nassau County Chapter programs. Your membership is very important in our effort to continue to serve these individuals and their families.
The mission of the Association for the Help of Retarded Children Nassau County Chapter is to teach, support and advocate for children and adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities to make life choices, exercise independence and develop responsibility. Association for the Help of Retarded Children Nassau County Chapter encourages all individuals to fulfill their dreams and become productive members of the community. This is accomplished by providing an array of individual and family supports.
