Running with the Wolves Wolf Sem at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge Nature Center in Quogue, Hamptons, Long Island, New York.
Running with the Wolves presents a fantastic Wolf Seminar in the Nature Center. Learn all about these incredible animals: the ways of the wolf, life in the pack, why do wolves howl, what do wolves eat, who takes care of the wolf pups, how long do wolves live? Learn about Long Island's rescued wolf, "Takoda", why he was rescued, and how he lives and plays. Also come and learn about what this local Long Island wolf conservation group, Running with the Wolves, does for wolves. A program for adults and families.
About Project Wolf
Project Wolf is not a group, it's a movement. A groundswell of outrage and emotion which ties thousands of individuals, hundreds of groups, and sanctuaries, together with a unified message. Protect our wolves.
About Quogue Wildlife Refuge
Quogue Wildlife Refuge is a 305-acre nature preserve dedicated to nature preservation and environmental education nestled in the Village of Quogue open daily, free of charge, from sunrise to sunset. Our mission is to serve as a responsible land steward of the Refuge property and its natural resources, while promoting, implementing and supporting environmental education.
There are seven miles of nature trails located among a variety of habitats, including the Pine Barrens and deciduous forests, freshwater ponds, carnivorous and cranberry bogs, and the ecologically rare Dwarf Pines. The Refuge also serves as home to permanently injured, non-releasable wildlife, including a bald eagle, red fox, bobcat, owls, falcons and hawks. |
