Annual Brentwood Cultural Street Art Festival Event byTeatro Experimental Yerbabruja in Downtown Brentwood, Long Island, New York.
Our annual art festival exposes diverse audiences of all ages to culturally diverse performing and visual arts. This is a great medium to give local and established artists a chance to share their passion and expand their visibility and following in our Long Island communities.
This year, our gathering will take place from 11:30AM-6:00PM on Sunday, September 30, 2013 on Suffolk Avenue in downtown Brentwood, beginning at the Brentwood Road/Washington Avenue intersection.
Last year's Brentwood Cultural Street Festival attracted an audience of many thousands, as should this year's Festival with its very powerful activities, including the following stage schedule:
11:30AM-12:15PM
Tracy Hamilton Drum Circle for adults and kids bring your own drums/other percussion instruments such as tambourines, bells, rattles, wood blocks etc.
12:20PM-1:00PM
The Peruvian dance ensemble Peru Andino, featuring live dancers & musicians.
1:10PM-2:00PM
The Haitian ensemble Bonga and The Vodou Drums Of Haiti

The salsa orchestra Napolean Revels - Bey Rhythm Kings

The Puerto Rican Bomba and Plena Ensemble Losd Plen eros De La 21.

Colombian jazz phenom Edmar Castaneda and his quartet.
