The Suffolk County Asian American Advisory Board cordially invites you to the 4th Annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration, established to promote cultural awareness of the Asian Pacific American communities and celebrate the diversity of Long Island’s population, will be held on May 12, 2012 at Stony Brook University, Wang Center from 1:00PM-6:00PM.
There will be multicultural booth display, arts and crafts, costumes, dance, featured presentations, photo exhibit, vendor and corporate displays and workshops. There will be multicultural dance and musical performance, open theater, Presentation of Awards and Awarding Ceremonies for the Social Harmony contest.
FREE admission from 1-6 PM at the main lobby and open theater starts at 2 PM. At 1;30 pm, we will be featuring the AAAB Youth Orchestra and at 4:30 pm will be featured performance by Asian Artists. Visit our website at www.scaaab.org
The Charles B. Wang Center is dedicated to presenting the public with a multifaceted, intellectually sound, and humane understanding of Asian and Asian American cultures, and their relationship to other cultures. The Wang Center houses Jasmine Restaurant and serves as a conference facility and venue for cultural events.
