Description: |
This class is a great introduction to belly dance as a form of fitness, stress reduction, and a way to obtain grace and femininity. Learn this ancient art form that benefits the female body, mind and spirit. Emphasis will be placed on basic technique and steps. A short, exciting dance including a veil dance, will be taught. Please wear comfortable clothing, non-slip socks or slippers. No sneakers. Registration is required.
Lenora Dome: Born in Queens, NY Lenora was raised and grew up in the "Mid-East" of Long Island. Dancing for over 30 years, she first studied under local instructors Alicia Laura, Lee Hayes and the well known Electra. She also had the opportunity to study with world famous dancers Morocco, Daleena, Serena and the late Ibrahim Ferrar.
Realizing it's unique fitness advantage and the ability to rejoice in your feminine self through the dance, she kept dancing . Lenora has danced in numerous restaurants (including New York City), country clubs, night clubs, private homes, at festivals and in celebration of birthdays, retirements, weddings, holidays.
