Bay Days Summer Camp Program at Long Island Maritime Museum in West Sayville, Long Island, New York.
Join us for adventurous weekly programs exploring Long Island's maritime habitats around the Great South Bay.
Our educators will guide your child through interactive experiences in the seaside environment, designed to make learning fun.
In cooperation with Downling College and Fire Island National Seashore, the program is designed to engage youngsters in all aspects of our estuarine ecosystem and the part they can play in preserving it.
They will have the opportunity to encounter the amazing variety of plants and animals living in and near our local waters.
A visit to the CEECOM (Center for Estuarine Environmental and Coastal oceans Monitoring) research facility and Blue Points Oyster Hatchery.
Field trip to Sailor's Haven and walking tour of the rare ecological environment of the Sunken Forest on Fire Island.
On-water adventures including field trips and sail on our 1888 sloop, Priscilla.
Children grades 1-5 are invited to attend. All programs are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Bay Day beings on Monday, June 24, 2013 and will run through Friday, August 16, 2013 daily 9:00AM-2:00PM.
