Description: |
Humanitarian Dennis Gaboury returns to Ross, inspiring campers to help those less fortunate. In addition to teaching campers how to make dolls using wire and found objects, Dennis also hosts a fundraiser, where he sells extraordinary dolls handmade by orphans in Zimbabwe. Nicknamed ZimKids, these children fashion elaborate toys out of found materials, and Dennis sells them in the U.S. The money goes back to support the community of orphaned children.
SummerCamp @Ross revolves around creative, artistic and interesting people. In an effort to nourish the mind, body and spirit, we introduce campers to world-renowned artists, thinkers, humanitarians and wellness experts. These special guests inspire our campers through hands-on workshops and interactions. |
