Nature Around the Pond: Walk for Adults and Children 8 and up at the South Fork Natural History Museum and Nature Center (SoFo) with Crystal Possehl, SoFo Nature Educator.
Join Crystal as she explores the three miles of trails around Big Reed Pond. We will walk the trails through a salt marsh, cattail marsh, swamp forest, upland forest and an old field. This amazing mix of habitats is home to many plants that are unusual for the South Fork. Wildflowers may be in bloom and there will be beautiful vistas to see, so bring your camera and binocular to get a good sighting on some of the breeding birds in this variety of habitats |
